Make the Commitment

Ladies, you were created for greatness. I believe that women were made, yes, to procreate, but God put us on earth for even more than that one purpose.

God created us and He knows the plans He has for us, individually. A woman is a general category like a man. But listen to me, God plans to prosper you, not harm you. He has plans to give you hope and an expected end. And that purpose is specific to you.

• Living your best life is about more than what you do.

• It's more than your connections with others.

• Living your best life is more than the money you have in the bank.

I believe you start to live your best life when you connect with your purpose for being alive.

Then living your best life is a complete picture of all those things…your vision…what you do…who you connect with…the money in the bank…where you go…and so much more.

But it all starts with knowing your purpose and getting into alignment with that purpose.

Your divine purpose grounds you, gives you direction for your days, and points you toward the vision that God has for you to fulfill upon the earth. That's powerful, right? Once you align that, everything else starts to become more apparent.

Here's my question to you: Are you confident in who you are? Or are you still seeking and questioning yourself about your thoughts, desires, and abilities?

Knowing who you are is one of the first steps to living your best life. I genuinely believe you can live a beautiful God-centered life that is balanced, filled with grace, and personal, professional, and spiritual success. To make that a reality, there are some steps you need to take.

But before we talk about what you need to do, let's see what the Word has to say about the subject.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13, New International Version (NIV) of the Bible

Many women in the Bible sought the Lord and found Him. When they found Him, He answered prayers and even saved nations because these women called Him, and He heard them. They looked for Him, and they found Him. He responded to prayers that no human could answer.

A part of this finding is because these women had a specific purpose to fulfill. 

Align with your Source

Hannah's purpose was to bring Samuel into the world and give him back to God. This prophet, Samuel, was trained by the Priest Eli. Samuel lived to do great works as a Prophet.

However, his mother had to know where her source was before Samuel could be born. She suffered humiliation at not having a child, but she turned to her source, God, to find her answer. In giving her the answer to her prayers, God blessed Hannah to birth a prophet to fulfill God's greater purpose for His people.

Isn't that amazing? When God answered one woman's prayer, a world of people were blessed as a result.

Could that be you? Could you be carrying around a purpose that's so significant, but you wouldn't know it until you align with your source.

Action steps: Call on God, go to Him, pray to Him. He will hear you and answer you when you do it with your whole heart. Don't hold back. Turn to your source.

Align with God's Purpose for You

Esther was another woman who called upon the Lord in her times of trouble. God answered Esther's prayer to save her Jewish nation from death at the hand of Haman and the people of Persia, which is modern-day Iran. As we know, even today, this is not a nation that primarily believes in God.

Esther was a Jew and lived the Jewish lifestyle. Before Esther sought God, her uncle reminded her that she was chosen Queen for "such a time as this."

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14 NIV

With this urging, Esther turned to God. She asked her uncle and the people to pray and fast with and for her. Esther knew that going to the King without invitation was a cause for death. She said, "if I perish, I perish."

I'm sure Esther was afraid for her life, but her mission was more significant. As her uncle let her know, the Jews as a nation would not perish. These were God's people, and he would send a deliverer. But what if she was that deliverer? If she did not take action, she and her entire lineage would end.

Esther accepted her role and her fate. Her commitment to God's purpose for her life was more important than anything at that point. Esther went to the King to save the Jews and expose the enemy. It was not an easy choice to make, but all things are possible with God. The King spared the Jewish people's lives and destroyed the enemy. Esther is remembered today for her brave actions.

The same could be true for you. When you determine that you will align with God's purpose for you, you will find value and significance that you've never experienced. 

Remain in Your Spiritual Place

A spiritual concept says we live in this world, but we're not of this world. Loosely, this means we live here, but this is not our ultimate location as Christians. I say, while we're here, let's make the best of it. I don't mean we will be perfect. But we certainly want to stay connected to God. 

If you seek Him, He will be found by you.

1 Chronicles 28:9 and 2 Chronicles 15:2

Struggles, challenges, and situations will come. We were not promised a life of ease. But we were promised that if we trust Him with all our hearts and do not lean on our understanding, He will direct our paths. If we seek Him, we will find Him.

Final Reflections:

To be the best version of yourself, stay grounded to the source. Remain in your spiritual place. That does not mean perfection; it does mean connection. Your God-given purpose will become apparent and easier to connect with and accomplish when you commit.

Commit to 

1. Aligning with your source.

2. Aligning with God's purpose for you.

3. Remaining in your spiritual place.

When you find your purpose, it is then that you will be able to succeed. Trust God more than we trust what we think we know. He can and will direct us better than we could ever do on our own. And heaven help us if we try doing God's will using other people's logic. 

God created you for a purpose. Stay committed and stay the course; find your purpose and do that.
